Do you remember where you were when Michael Phelps broke the Olympic Medal Record back in 2012? I remember I was sitting with my family in the den. Being the biggest Phelps fanatic of the group, I sat closest to the TV on the floor.
Phelps first started swimming with the Olympics when he was just 15. At the time that he broke the record for most medals at the 2012 London Olympics, he was 27. In just 12 years, Michael Phelps managed to craft one of the greatest swimming reputations in the whole world, and he managed to stay a good guy throughout.
Back in 2012 everyone thought it was going to be Phelps’ last year, but to our surprise, he will indeed be playing in the 2016 Rio games.
I can’t wait. I know where I’ll be. On the floor. As close to the TV as possible.
